Consultation Our office offers consultations in person and by telephone - all directly with our principal, Natalia Teper. The first twenty (20) minute consultation is free. Ms. Teper will evaluate your legal issues and provide recommendations. At that time, she will also inform you about our reasonable and competitive fees. If your legal problem requires a more extensive discussion, we recommend our hourly consultation. A more comprehensive consultation, usually lasting one (1) hour is available for a flat rate of $200.00. Please note that telephone consultations require payment in advance. During consultation Ms. Teper will discuss with you personally your situation, your needs, and your goals. After learning about you, she can give you tailored advice which can save you significant time, money, and stress. She will explain your available options, applicable law, and the different types of fee arrangements offered by our office. She will discuss what actions are necessary, and the best way to resolve your matters in a timely and cost effective manner. Since our office charges a flat fee for this consultation, you do not need to worry if the consultation takes longer than an hour. There is no "clock ticking." In fact, we encourage you to take the time to be sure you are getting the advice you need and that you understand your legal options. At any time during or after the consultation, you may choose to retain our firm. The consultation is confidential and subject to the attorney-client privilege, even if you do not retain us. We will make every effort to schedule an appointment at a time convenient for you. Evening and weekend appointments are available. Many times, we schedule appointments directly before, after, or between court hearings or client meetings. As such, if for any reason, you are running late, or cannot make the appointment, it is important to let us know ahead of time. Please fill out our Consultation Questionnaire, and have a list of questions prepared in order to address the issues most important to you. In an effort to better serve our clients and simplify your billing experience, our firm offers credit card acceptance. Credit card information is filed with your confidential client information and kept secure. Accounts on file can be charged either as a one-time payment on request, automatically each month upon the due date or as back up payment in the event of a past due balance with the firm. If you wish to schedule a paid telephone consultation, please fill out our Credit Card Pre-authorization Form, and either mail it or fax it to us. Legal consultation means verbal, written or e-mail responses only, and does NOT include our signature on or filing of documents, factual investigations, or acting as a "go-between." Our legal consultations are limited to the areas of law we practice. Free Consultation If You Hire Us If we are retained within thirty (30) days of the consultation, the payment of a consultation fee will be credited towards your case. E-mail Consultations While we do not mind answering few simple questions via e-mail, we provide legal advice to clients only. Few things must take place before we can even analyze your situation. First we need to ensure that accepting you as a new client would not present a conflict with any existing clients. To do this, we would need to know your full name and address, and the identity of any parties adverse to you. It would also be necessary for you to tell us, without revealing any confidential information, the general nature of your legal problem. We may need to ask you several questions or review your documents. Please note that while attorney-client communications are privileged, an e-mail correspondence may not be confidential.
